The Athletic Brain: Measuring Fatigue and Nutrition Considerations. From coordinating movements to dictating reaction times and more, the brain’s attributes are often distinguishing factors between recreational and elite sports athletes. Thus, maintaining or improving the function of various cognitive domains during exercise is an important consideration in sports nutrition.
