One I will be posting this week is a strategy we used in the NBA… Blood Flow Restriction Post-Exercise Ischemic Conditioning. First screen the athlete for contraindications or precautions to use of occlusion, and once cleared, use BFR at 100% occlusion for 5 minutes, followed by 5 minute deflate/repercussion, the. Repeat for a total of 3 cycles. We found it very effective for a 24 hour interval. Pool walking, cold tubs, breathing/meditation, and compression work, too, but I found the BFR gave more bang for the time period (mixed metaphors, but…). Hope that helps!

I've conducted many interviews in my career. I feel that most of us know how to ask specific questions to find out a candidate's background, technical skill set, career goals, strengths, weaknesses, etc. However, I feel like it gets tricky when you are trying to evaluate a candidate during the interview process about how they will fit within your Sports Medicine Team, how well do they communicate, are they coachable/teachable, how well do they self-evaluate, how well do they take feedback, etc. Many people know how to say the "right thing" during an interview process but sometimes what they say doesn't necessarily align with who they are. What types of strategies or questions does everyone use during their interview process to get a good sense of these characteristics?

Hello! I'm so happy to have found this community so thanks in advance! I'm currently in my third year of undergrad majoring in neuroscience but my goal is to become an RD. I have a few questions: What experiences should I be seeking out at this point? Where are there good master's programs, does it matter where? (Also, is it worth it to just do it online?)
